- We know the vital importance of connection and communication. We know the vital importance of wearing masks when interacting with those outside our household during ‘Covid-tide’. We also know there are many in CAYG circles who are gifted creators! Would you like to enter our clear-mask-making competition? You have THREE WEEKS (deadline August 11) to make a prototype that is:
- clear; largely transparent, so we can see smiles.
- effective; in reducing airborne transmission.
- comfortable; which means adjustable and works for those with glasses and those without.
- affordable; you are in a position to produce a good number of these at a reasonable cost and can present your proposal to do so.
- Don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions, or pass this opportunity along to anyone who might be interested.
- I will assemble a panel to examine the entries and a $100 gift voucher prize will be announced in mid-August.
- FINAL CAYG Back Yard Small groups are happening this week and this weekend, wrapping up our summer series on the Book of Acts. Some groups may have a bonus gathering next week if they had to cancel in previous weeks, but that is at the discretion of each small group leader.
- August is likely to be quiet as we give our hard-working volunteers a break and pray and plan for the uncertainties of the fall semester.
- And here is an updated packing list for Friday’s bike trip.
