Why Bike? Why Haiti?

Sometimes plans have to change.

We hoped to fly to Haiti this summer with Haiti H20 to help build a school in Meloniere.

But due to the State Department raising its Travel Advisory Level 4, our team had to change our plans this summer.

So we are now biking from Pittsburgh to the Haitian Embassy in D.C. and raising money to help build that school in Meloniere as we do so.

The distance from Church of the Ascension to the Haitian Embassy is roughly 334 Miles.

I have a personal target of raising $3 for each mile, a total of $1,002.

And I’d love to celebrate that by the time we arrive at the Haitian Embassy on Monday 5 August! Possible? We will see.
