I apologize. The picture of edible dates is just irresistibly funny to me. Every time.
Anyway, before I dazzle your eyes with a series of graphics, let me just saw how delightful both the Friday and Sunday night groups were last weekend.
For some reason there was just a lot of joy. I am very thankful to get to know new-ish people better AND still see high school seniors who have been putting up with me for the last seven years of their lives!
So thank you if you were praying for CAYG this last weekend.
What about future weekends?
This weekend is the usual pattern of pieday Friday, middle school CAYG and then Sunday night CAYG for High Schoolers. And we have Josh Bennett as our guest speaker!!!
But looking further ahead, here are the main CAYG dates for the next few months, which don’t include all the other things going on (Confirmation, a Senior Retreat, Niagara Team stuff, one-off events etc).
First, two more weekends of Brokenness & Blessings before a two-weekend break for Easter and the weekend following.

Then we regroup for a pair of ‘running the race’ CAYG weekends leading up to our grand Marathon Overnight, which includes a 6:30-8pm dinner FOR FAMILIES AND EVERYONE following Ascension’s 5pm Saturday Service. An Overnight RSVP will be coming out soon.

After the overnight, there is only one CAYG ‘You May Ask’ weekend planned for May (May 19/21) as I am away the weekend before, and it is Memorial Day Weekend afterwards.
But then in June we start a new summer series and WELCOME OUR RISING 6TH GRADERS! I always love to help folks make friends over the summer before they start middle school in the fall, so CAYG welcomes them then.
RISING 9th graders also have the option of moving up to Sunday nights over the summer as well.

This series may or may not be based on some studies I have started for my Ministry Doctorate looking at anxiety and prayer. Kudos to anyone who can tell me what Bible passage inspired this graphic.
Lots to look forward to.
