Hello, dear readers! How are you all this ambiguously-weathered day?? I am doing well! Cranking out book reports, and creating battle plans for the next few weekends where I will be cupcake catering a birthday party AND a wedding AND a Table Reading! If I’m doing the math right (which I’m probably not) I’m going to be baking/decorating roughly 17 dozen cupcakes over the course of these 3 weekends… At the rate I’m going, the Harrisburg Mission Trip is going to be a relaxing vacation. So what else is new!
WELL…
First off, a MASSIVE THANK YOU for everyone who showed up to help us on Moving Day!!!! We had 11 people registered… 20 people showed up. We finished in 50 minutes.

I made an urgent call to the pizza people to see if they could double our order AND come any sooner, and as they waited these amazing helpers assisted our Maintenance Supervisor Isaiah by weeding the entire church grounds. AND not only did we MOVE all the stuff, but I had a team help me ORGANIZE everything (and likely knock 3 hours of work off my plate)!
Just LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!!

Super organized! With shelf room to spare!!! As promised, you 20 are my absolute favorites, and I have been singing your praises around the office, who are also very impressed.
Also note the earlier photo saying there’s free junk stuff in the parish hall. Swing by Sunday before/after church and claim your booty!
THIS SATURDAY: Ballfield Farm, 9-12

So THIS SATURDAY is the Ballfield Farm service project…If you are just now thinking you would like to join, please hurry up and register! I’m giving them final numbers Friday morning, and they will be planning their day around that information. Friday I will also send out the address and stuff, but for now find your gardening gloves and trowel (if you have them)!
NEXT Saturday is the Open Hand Ministry! 9-12 (3pm opt)

For this one there is a WAIVER all volunteers must fill out! They will be emailed to those who have registered, Monday. All that to say, there is still time to register, but be quick about it!
As ever, PARENTS are especially encouraged to sign up!
Q: Can I bring my Boy Scout/Girl Scout Troop or an otherwise nicely sized group?
A: Yes, IF said group ALSO brings some of their own adult chaperones. And they register.
TONIGHT: Nostalgia Night! 6:30pm

By the time you receive this email, it will probably be too late. But the Seniors Nostalgia Night is tonight at Ascension. Hunt Rooms.

With that, dearest readers, I sign off. I was not going to post any pictures of cake, as I have not baked anything this week. But then I realized that wasn’t fair to you, who are clearly very invested, so I shall share with you a cake I made exactly 1 year ago for my nephew’s 5th birthday. Incidentally, his 6th birthday party is this Saturday, and I have been tasked with SPIDER-MAN cupcakes! So you’ll have those photos to look forward to next week!

Much love,
Kelsey Nienna ❤
