4. The Duff Scholarship! Deadline March 18!

So I bet a lot of you are wondering how I managed to graduate from my bachelors degree 7 years ago a mere $13,000 in debt. And of course you’ve wanted to know the REAL reason Alex became a priest for ages! It just so happens, dear readers, that there is a mutual answer to both! And that of couse is THE DUFF SCHOLARSHIP.
“What’s the Duff Scholarship??”
Well chorus of voices in my head that I’m convinced are my readers…
For 15+ years, Ascension youth (including myself!) have been joyful recipients of the Duff Scholarship. It is not an Ascension organization, but their qualifications are such that if you attend Ascension you already meet most application requirements!
One of the things needed is a recommendation letter from the church clergy/youth group leader… and who do we know who is now BOTH?!?!? (It’s all coming together, isn’t it!)
If you are a senior, or in a gap year or agape year *cough cough* and hoping to avoid taking out a million loans, follow the link, get the paperwork you need, and Alex would LOVE to practice signing his “Rev. Alex BH” signature to your application!!
The paperwork is a labor of love (see: a lot of work) so if you’re about to enter college (or IN college) follow the link and get started on the work ASAP!

And now dear readers, I bid thee farewell. I’ve recently reactivated my online dating accounts (pray for me…) and I leave you with the poetry of one of my (American, “English speaking”) suitors whose words should not be lost to the dark recesses of space and internet, as well as the mental image of me gazing into my phone, fingers trembling as they hover over my “send” button.

Youth, if you’re reading this, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of grammar and punctuation. So please, for me, start practicing now. And remember the importance of apostrophes.
Anyway, I really must run: The college ministry has just begun their pizza dinner and they let me snag a few pieces. And the opportunity to have pizza is just such a rarity, I really can’t miss this. (Pizza dinner Sunday at CAYG, Pizza dinner Monday for Jubilatee, Pizza dinner Tuesday and/or Thursday at Seminary…)
Much love,
Kelsey Nienna ❤
