CAYG is back on Sunday 23rd! But instead of the ‘two rivers’ model we used in the fall, with middle and high schoolers on separate paths before converging at the end for an ‘Ohio moment of Praise’, we will be organized into three large ‘Houses’. [Three, not four? Yup, I guess no Slytherin…]
I have a fair idea of who is friends with who but help me help you by emailing me with the names of anyone who you’d like to be in your House. I am not promising to make everyone happy all of the time but the better info I have, the better I can serve!
We open the parish hall doors at 6pm on Sunday 23, and it would be helpful if folks arrived before 6.15pm because I’ll need some time to explain the new format before it starts properly at 6.30pm.
And IF YOU HAVEN’T SIGNED UP YET PLEASE DO SO HERE!!!

Two Leadership Lunches. Seeking to make this CAYG Spring Series as good as possible, volunteers and CAYG-ers are welcome to join me for one of two Leadership Lunches this Sunday. We gather in the Old Cats for pizza after the 9am service (so from 11.15-12.00) and after the 11am service (from 12.30-1.30pm). I always love the brilliant ideas shared at these Leadership Lunches! Please RSVP so I know how many pizzas to order. I.e. just ping me an email or text.
CAYG Leaders training that evening, Sunday January 16, from 5pm-8.30pm. Looking forward!

MLK Jr Monday. On Monday I’ll be remembering Martin Luther King Jr by being particularly thankful for his commitment to seeing Jesus’ words from the Sermon on the Mount lived out in modern America.
Here is his sermon on “Loving Your Enemies”, delivered in Montgomery Alabama in 1957. Definitely worth a read!

Harrisburg 2022. Excited that the team continues to grow, but I think I will close the door on new applicants at the end of January, so check out the info here and get in touch if you want to join!

And Save the dates! Senior Church Tours Are Back! Finding a church and making it home can be a daunting task, so I am glad we are able to join our seniors as they visit unfamiliar churches in Pittsburgh to get a handle on what is involved. We visit, worship, and then go out for lunch to talk about it. More details to follow.
Finally, Kelsey is keen that you be not alarmed – she DID not write this week’s newsletter, so don’t be concerned that she has suffered some terrible accident and has lost all her personality…
