What a glorious day it is!!!! Because Friday at 2:23am I handed in my final paper!!!! (If anyone would like to know about the relationship between Amazing Grace author John Newton, and William Wilberforce, the parliamentary member who dedicated his life to the abolition of the slave trade in England, hit me up!)

Overnight B4 Xmas Success!
Papers aside, it was ALSO a LOVELY weekend because of our annual Overnight Before Xmas!!! There was lasagna and garlic bread, songs, an epic game of Murderdines, a dance party, precious little sleep, and then we joined the Altar Guild Saturday morning for the greening of the Nave!
Once a year the old wood gets polished, and this year the youth polished the entirety of the church (minus the new pews), making the space shine and smell like fresh lemons! See how shiny it is!! Great job!!
My favorite favorite picture of the lock-in will be at the bottom, because it’s super emotional and literally made me tear up, so I think it best I give you the news before I bring everyone else to tears.
Join Ascension’s services on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day!
Christmas Eve:
6pm- Family friendly with a pageant.
10pm- Kids welcome but no childcare. The service lets out about 15 minutes before people count down to midnight.
If you come to either service, bring a bell to ring!!!

Adult Leaders’ Training! January 9!
Are you an adult leader? It is far too cruel to not see each other for an entire month, so BEFORE CAYG RESUMES we’ll have a super-awesome special training in the new year!!

Dinner: NOT pizza???? (That’s what Alex is saying might happen… Not sure I believe him…)

And now finally Dear Readers, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! My FAVORITE picture of the overnight, possibly the YEAR(?!)!!!!
Context: My least favorite chore in the history of the world is the dishes. (Unless I’m washing for someone else. But otherwise, I HATE it.) Part of our volunteer team was Venite, our college ministry. And they, without being asked, washed ALL the dishes and cleaned the ENTIRE kitchen for me, saving me HOURS!!!!!! I was so happy. :’) I’m framing it.
