Hello, dear readers! How are you all this lovely, chilly, cloudy, drizzly and rather dreary day?
It is no small secret that the wonderful volunteers of CAYG have no lives. This truth is so painful, so potent, that on the few weekends we don’t have youth group we go to drastic extremes just to FEEL something. This past CAYG-less week was no different. Case in point:
Volunteer Jess Smith married Kevin Fernando!!

Volunteers Benn and Susannah Carlucci married each other!

It’s a girl! Meet Sophie and Asher’s baby, Moriah!!!!

Mom and baby are doing great! We expect to have Asher back fairly soon, and little Moriah in just 12 years!
My fingers are still broken!
In a fit of pent up frustration for being unable to do basically anything, I “baked and decorated” a cake. Shown beside a cake I made 3 months ago for comparison.

I don’t know how evident it has been thus far, parentheses perhaps Alex has been especially good about catching my spelling errors as he goes through everything parentheses but I am still relying heavily on voice to text dictation. Shout out to my professors for giving me blanket extensions on homework!
And now to business…
1. THIS Sunday, Oct 24: Confirmation, Church Event, CAYG,
Confirmation Lunch: After the 11 o’clock service.
Church Event: More Than Stones gathering.
5pm, NAVE. If you have not already, RSVP to the MTS event via this link.
CAYG: 6 o’clock start time as usual!
☔
2. YES CAYG on Halloween!
Do not be afraid of wearing a costume! Alex would like me to make sure it is abundantly clear that it is I, Kelsey, who is suggesting the wearing of costumes, and NOT “boring-middle-aged-ABH who doesn’t like costumes” (His self-description, not mine.) Our British Buddy would also like it communicated that there will be people “dressed normally, ie like Americans.” So basically if you want to come dressed up, do so with my blessing! If you want to wear bluejeans, do so with Alex’s blessing!
Loving reminder: The following week, CAYG is more than happy to take your leftover candy off your hands.
☔
3. Saturday, October 30: Alex is getting ordained!!!
Fittingly the day before Halloween, Alex will no longer be able to dress up as a priest! Because he WILL be a priest! Join us for the service at 10am, and the outdoor reception! RSVP
☔
4. Wreath Orders continue
Well done everyone who has downloaded paper order forms and who has sent texts to Alex to find out how many more items they need to have to win! You can find the paper forms, and the online process here.. More paper forms and clipboards are available on Sunday.

With that dear reader, I must sign off. Voice to text dictation takes a lot more time and energy than one would presume. Parentheses I mean, before I broke both hands I didn’t really think about it at all, but now it’s all I can think about, and it takes a whole lot more work than I would’ve thought it would’ve taken had I ever thought about it before I needed to… parentheses With any luck, you will not realize that this newsletter is in fact two days late. 😉
Much love to you all! And stay warm! 🙂
Kelsey ❤
