Mine is going very nicely- a lightbulb was just replaced and it’s like my office is brand new, I can hardly contain my joy. The fun never ends in reception here at Ascension!

Confirmation Introductory Lunch!
-Sunday August 29, “After the 11am service”-12:45. Parish Hall.
Do you like setting sparklers on fire? Would you like to be confirmed? Well we can help you with the confirmation, and provide you with a stock photo of lit sparklers! The sparkler image may be a metaphor for being on fire for God by undergoing the Sacrament of Confirmation! (I say maybe, I wasn’t told, and I’m not about to break my winning streak of interpreting photos – see bike trip sequence from early August.)
Register interest in this year’s 8-session Youth Confirmation process here and join us this Sunday for an Introductory Lunch! I have not been told what lunch is but I’m willing to go on a limb and guess caviar. (If you’re allergic to pizza let us know.)

Leaders Training!
-Sunday, August 29. 5:30-8pm
Reminder we will be having our LEADERSHIP TRAINING this Sunday evening. First activity at 5:30 will be us sneaking into a tent cook-out to steal hotdogs and burgers (Marilyn said we could) then Alex will lead us through the new schedule and structure of CAYG so we’re all able to lead with poise, grace, good looks, humor and humility! We may even play a game! Thanks to everyone who has already signed up! For those who haven’t, please do! We look forward to welcoming new team members as well as being reunited with familiar faces!
