CAYG returns this weekend! If you want to join us, please do register before noon tomorrow (Wednesday April 14).
What is the format?
Fridays. Wearing your mask, please come to the Kitchen Door entrance (Ellsworth parking lot) of Ascension (4729 Ellsworth Ave) at 6.30pm.
I will let you in through that red door, take your temperature, and direct you to your ‘couch pod.’
The first few minutes will be chatting, catching up, smiling sympathetically at our meme slide show, before we begin properly around 6.38pm.
This series we have an exciting range of guest speakers (as well as the old Brit) taking us through the story of Esther.
Following the opening presentation, our couch pods then relocate to various other spaces to discuss further in peace.
After this, there will be various free time options inside and out, but mainly outside if the weather permits. Before we all end up in a circle under the big tent for our final prayers.
Drivers are directed to the Ellsworth parking lot to collect at 8.30pm, but I accept that fills up very quickly so do wave to me from your parked car somewhere on Ellsworth near that part of church!
Sundays. The flow from 6.30-8.30pm is pretty similar, but chatty high schoolers have the option of arriving earlier at 6pm to enjoy a slice of pizza and socialize outside.

Chefs!
Thanks so much for signing up! Five of the seven slots are now taken! But do note: I have edited the protocol to now request that the food is ready to be served at 5.15pm. Let me know if that will be a problem

Senior Church Tours! We are doing this a little differently, with the Seniors, many of whom have cars, coordinating amongst themselves to visit a different church THIS SUNDAY APRIL 18, and then we process their experience in our small group at CAYG that evening. The advantage of this approach is that the experience is closer to those who are visiting churches for the first time as a Freshman in college or working in a different city after graduation; Leah and I won’t be there to sit next to you!
