Choose your own Advent Adventure!
We have two options this weekend, artistic or active.
Friday. Artistic – Given the expected post-Thanksgiving COVID surge and the wintry weather, Friday night porch pods will be meeting online from 7-8:30pm to chat and create Christmas Cards for elderly relatives or neighbors. We have online resources to encourage and equip you in your creativity and can also deliver a paper & pen card-making pack if you think you’ll need one as long as you contact me by noon on Wednesday. So we assume you have some crafty materials at home unless you tell us otherwise!
Your porch pod leaders will send out the zoom invite. Enjoy the festive vibe together and produce something that someone you love will appreciate!
Friday. Active – But if you’ve been in a safe Thanksgiving quarantine and don’t mind braving the elements, we can also offer an Active Advent Adventure. Meeting at 127 N Linden Avenue PA 15208 at 7pm, there will be games in a dark Westinghouse park before gathering for hot apple cider and an Advent message under the tent in the Stout’s back yard. Ends at 8.30pm. But you must email me by noon on Wednesday if you’re interested in this Active option so we know there are enough to make this work. Dress for rain and snow.
The active option is open to ALL Friday Porch Pods.
Sunday. Artistic and Active. Basically the same options. Default is zoom/craft and expect an invite from your porch pod leader but let me know by noon on Wednesday if you’re interested in the Active option at the Stouts from 7-8:30pm on SUNDAY night.

Who won the ‘most referred youth’ prize for selling Wreaths?? While Sammi W and Leila G worked steadily over the weeks, Teddy F came storming in at the last minute with an envelope of forms and tied with them!
So instead of one winner I now have to pay three?! Ouch. That takes the edge off the fundraising… But as there wasn’t really a showing for the team prize, I have bundled the $50 + $60 together, added $10 and divided by three, so each can expect a $40 Amazon Gift Voucher in their inboxes before the end of the week. That might jump start some Christmas gift purchasing…? Congratulations!
