Why yes we did! Thanks for asking. But happy to be back, especially now the weather has returned to the 70s for a couple of days.
Looking forward to Porch Pods this weekend! Middle schoolers on Friday, 7-8:30pm. High schoolers on Sunday, 7-8:30-ish-pm.
The next Senior Squad brunch is Saturday October 31, which also happens to be Halloween. I wonder what seasonal treats Denise is cooking up for us this time… Thanks for signing up here!

Also, let me extend an invitation from Ascension’s Seniors (i.e. Aged 55+, not high school seniors) ministry…
“On November 12th at 10:30 in the morning, we plan to have a eucharistic service for the seniors to celebrate our Lord’s goodness to us. With the focus on being thankful, we would like the seniors to share some of their stories of how God has worked in their lives.” As we face turbulent times, I can’t think of anything more encouraging than hearing of God’s faithfulness from those who have seen it through the decades and across the centuries (I.e. last century)! Reach out if you’d like more details.
Finally, I do get asked to write lots of references for people as they apply for scholarships, jobs and other opportunities. Truth is, I can write the best references for those I know best. And the best time for getting to see people in action is over the summer during a special week like…
Our YouthWorks trip planned for next July. REGISTER YOUR INTEREST here and no deposit is necessary at this time.
But that isn’t the only opportunity! In partnership with Haiti H20 we are planning another 300+ mile bike ride this summer. But this time we start in D.C. at the Haitian Embassy and will bike the C&O and GAP trail all the way back to Ascension! Save the date. The means to register interest will be made available soon!
