- Got a pet? Father Jay and Catherine Slocum are celebrating the feast day of St Francis this Sunday at 11.30am with a special Animal Blessing after our 10am service. It will be on Ascension’s lawn at 4729 Ellsworth Avenue. If you do want come to the in-person Communion service at 10am, please register here.
5. A few have already been in touch, but now you can REGISTER YOUR INTEREST here for our July 2021 YouthWorks trip to Harrisburg. No deposit necessary at this time. This service trip is designed for those finishing grades 7-10. It is half the price of a week-long summer camp, with me and a couple of others as their ‘camp counselors’. Plus learn useful skills and serve others!
6. Venite, Ascension’s campus ministry, has been enjoying some weekend social events outdoors (see below at Shenot) as well as our regular Wednesday night gatherings. But I would love to hear from any CAYG-ers who have any good ideas for trips out on a Saturday!
