- Introducing our new ‘half-week of holy-service’! Care to join with friends on spring break and complete some projects to get Ascension ready for our Easter Weekend? Want to discover parts of Ascension that you’ve never seen before? Interested in learning useful life-skills? Then join us for one, two or three days for our ‘half-week of holy-service’! Register here before March 20.
- Readers! We are looking for two confident readers to lead the congregation around the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, April 9. Contact me if interested.
- CAYG v COVID-19. Like everyone else, we are monitoring the Corona Virus headlines closely and will be taking every reasonable hygienic precaution at CAYG. If you are sick or exhibiting contagious symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose or sneezing, please send me a text and we will pray for you in your absence!
- Munchkin Friday. Dunkin’ Munchkins are not only delicious but also serve as a conveniently tasty metaphor for how loss (the ‘holes of life’) can be transformed by God for good. Given that we have CAYG-ers who can walk to Ascension from at least three different high schools, Leah and I will be trialing a new Friday afternoon [2.30-4pm] drop-in discussion gathering called ‘Munchkin Friday’. Come join us! A text or email to tell us that you’re coming would be helpful! Come down the back steps.
- Friday night is regular CAYG (6.30-8:30pm). Lovely hot shots.
- Sunday is daylight savings! We spring forward (or lose) an hour. I’m 39 and I still get confused by this every year.
- Confirmation Lunch this Sunday, 1-2.30pm. Please email me your ministry capstone photo by the end of this week so I can have a slide-show ready. And please bring your completed capstone paperwork. Looking forward to hearing all about it.
- Sunday night regular CAYG (6-8:30pm). Nice. More hot shots.
- Registration has just opened for our Seniors’ Retreat called ‘Make College Count’! Yes, it is around the time of AP exams but in the immortal words of over-achiever Gabbie Stout… ‘who studies for AP exams anyway??!’
