- The first of our three Senior Church Tours is this Sunday, meeting in Ascension’s Parish Hall at 11am. Given the vision is to offer graduating high schoolers the simulated experience of finding a new church in college, when often one walks in ‘blind’, we are keeping the destinations of these local churches a mystery until we arrive!
- Due to the success of the last event, we are hosting a follow up ‘Parenting in a Technological Age’ evening. What might wise parenting look like in an age of rapid technological change and pervasive digital devices? Parents of kids of all ages are gathering on Saturday January 25 (5:00-7:00pm) at Church of the Ascension (4729 Ellsworth Ave, PA 15213). It doesn’t matter if you came to the last one or not! Dr Jack Gabig will be our key note speaker and there will be more time for round-table conversation and idea-sharing. Childcare is provided for all ages [a movie for the older kids] as is pizza and salad for dinner [suggested donation of $10]. But places are limited so please RSVP here before Monday January 20.
