Final Call for Talent!
Hi all, Sarah Cummings here! I am in charge of organizing the CAYG Cabaret evening this summer and am in search for some youth group talent! This event is part of a fundraiser to send money to Haiti, and there are many ways to help! I have attached a google form below and would love it if you all could take a minute to fill it out if you are interested. We are also in search of youth to help with childcare, baking, and technical things (like sound and lighting). Any help would go a long way! The date of this event will be July 20th with possible rehearsal days for students who are performing. Thank you and hope all are having a wonderful summer! Pittsburgh Service Day SURVEY
The Diocese needs our help! They are renovating their offices and need able bodied youth to smash things with hammers! Please fill out the 3-question survey indicating which days would work for you to join us. Majority will win and be announced over the weekend.
Wednesday, July 24, we will be going to Kennywood for the day! Anyone and everyone is welcome: Family, friends, siblings… Tickets are only $22!! We need parents who can carpool and chaperone. RSVP by Sunday, July 21.
Biking for Haiti (July 30th – August 7th).
Instead of flying to Haiti, our team will be biking to the Haitian Embassy in Washington DC as part of our fundraising for Haiti H20. They leave Tuesday July 30, will make their journey on two wheels, before returning on four wheels on Wednesday August 7. Email us at email@example.com if you’re interested in joining!
Thank You, Car washers!
Thank you everyone who braved the blistering 90+ degree heat to participate in the Ventos Car Wash to support the Haiti missions trip! We had Alex, Mia, Maya, Holly, Elijah, Jeff… They even washed MY car! Look at what a great job they did! (I understand they are blocking most of the car, but notice the squeaky clean shine between Maya and Alex’s heads!)
Charleston Mission Trip: Is saved!!!!!! God has provided Brandon Daily who has agreed to accompany the Bellefield/Ascension youth to Charleston SC in exchange for ice cream and no-bake cookies! Thank you Brandon, and thanks be to God!
Who’s Coming to CAYG??
He has achieved legendary status over the years… Has earned the love of every CAYGer to set foot in the Old Cats… Despite it being used by countless other leaders, his old small group room is still referred to as his, and Alex STILL won’t let me put up a plaque commemorating his Chuck Norris-level of prestige… Ladies and gentlemen, this weekend both MS AND HS will be joined by our very own JACK HARPER!
Rather than force people to choose between Razzy Fresh and playing a game with our prodigal son/big brother, we’re buying some ice cream to have in house. So do bring your Razzy Fresh money to help cover the cost of multiple flavors.
Hot Sauce Challenge Update: So Far, We’re Safe…
Both Middle School and High School are gonna need to pick up the pace if they want us to drink the tabasco sauce. Three weeks left to bring a friend to a CAYG Friday/Sunday evening and force Wes and me to drink the consequences!
See you this weekend!
