Movie Night!

First, my thanks to everyone for their commitment to CAYG and to their friends: we finished the Daily Prayer Series strongly with 86 involved last weekend!
Friday: Heading to High School CAYG in the summer? You are invited to this ‘middle school nostalgia night’ this Friday (and again on Friday April 26th). As there are potentially so many (20+!) of you, please RSVP here so we can plan accordingly.
Friday: Movie Night! Some of our beloved volunteers have kindly offered to host a movie night in the Old Cats worship room for those in middle school who are not going to High School CAYG this summer, but will miss being at Ascension like normal on a Friday night! 6:30-8:30pm (usual time). I’ll be consulting with my panel of responsible movie experts to choose the feature film.
Sunday: Seniors’ Nostalgia Night. The second gathering of our high school seniors who are graduating this summer. Pizza at 6pm and ice-cream later.
Sunday: Movie Night! Again, our beloved volunteers have kindly offered to host a movie night in the Old Cats worship room for those in high school who are not going to graduate this summer, but will miss being at Ascension like normal on a Sunday night! 6-8:30pm (usual time). Ditto the movie expert consultation.
Holy Week Services at Ascension. Palm Sunday (April 14: 9am, 11am). Maundy Thursday (April 18: 7pm). Good Friday (April 19 noon-3pm – three hour-long services woven into one. And I am preaching during the 1-2pm service, so your prayers are appreciated for that!). Easter Sunday (April 21: 6am Vigil, 9am, 11am)
Love & Money (April 26 – June 7). There are still a few places left: ‘How We Love’ Marriage enrichment course here and our ‘Financial Peace University’ course here.
Next Haiti Team Lunch. Sunday April 28, 1-2.30pm
Marathon Overnight! Saturday May 4th. ***9 DAYS LEFT TO SIGN UP – DEADLINE IS APRIL 19TH*** Ascension Worship service at 5pm. All-age Marathon Eve Lasagna Fundraiser dinner from 6:30-8pm. ALSO let us know who is running in the Marathon so we can make them a sign and be ready to cheer!!
Save the date: Saturday May 11 Mother & Daughter Tea. Rhonda and Molly Smith look forward to welcoming CAYG daughters and their mothers for a classy tea at their house on Saturday May 11 (Mother’s Day Weekend!), 3-5pm. More details and RSVP here.
Save the date: Friday May 17 Cook Out & Capture the Flag! Terry & Nicole Shirk invite CAYG middle school youth and their parents to their house in Fox Chapel for an evening of food and fun! More details and RSVP here.
Finally, rising kindergartener kids are starting to sign up for our June 10-14 Fundraiser SOCCER CAMP, so we also need soccer playing volunteers to help run it! Middle school, high school, college aged and beyond who like to kick a ball (or make a craft or serve snacks) can contact me here.
