- Thanks to everyone who prayed and contributed to our post-valentines-day discussions last weekend. I was really encouraged by the tone, content, positive feedback I subsequently received, the new plans going forward… and the fact that 87 were involved!
- Friday 22nd 6.30-8.30pm. Regular Middle School Youth Group. We will be also be praying for those of our team attending CCO’s Jubilee, and welcoming new leaders who have stepped into the breach! Small Group leaders can download their guide here (Give Us This Day) to read through and pray as they prepare.
- Sunday 24th. Leadership Lunch in the Hunt Rooms. 12.45-2pm. We will be planning the Marathon Overnight (May 4th) and other events in May. Leaders of all ages are welcome to come, but please RSVP here first.
- Sunday 24th, 6-8.30pm. Regular High School Youth Group.
- Tiziana & Jim Rankin are again hosting their Parent Group prayer meeting in room 105 during High School Youth Group this Sunday. Let me know if you’d like to be added to this Parent Group email list.
- Sunday March 10th. Next Confirmation lunch, with our new cohort of mentors!
- Saturday April 13th. Save the date! Diocesan Youth Day of Service at the Pittsburgh Project! Cost will be $25. And you can sign up NOW!!
- Looking ahead to May. We like to give our hard-working volunteer team a break in May, but also can’t ignore the demand for more gatherings! So rather than have no CAYG events between the Marathon Overnight (May 4th-5th) and Summer Alpha (starting June 7th/9th) I encourage you to think and pray about what you might like to organize for CAYG! So far it looks like we have golf (just $11! Free if you have your own clubs) on Friday 10th, capture the flag & a cook-out in Fox Chapel on Friday 17th, a rock climbing expedition on Saturday 18th, and the next installment of our post-Valentines discussion series (likely to be re-named ‘Let’s Talk About:’) on Friday 24th and Sunday 26th. But what about Sunday evenings?!
- Also in May… Jim and Mari Stout are hosting a Marriage Enrichment Course called ‘How We Love’ on 6 Friday evenings at Ascension from May 3-June 7. Childcare is provided for infants through 5th grade. Save the dates!
- CAYG Summer Interns! We are looking for a pair of friendly, prayerful and organized Christians who can work with Leah and I during June and July 2019. $1,200 for 100 hours. Download application form here.
