- OUR KENNYWOOD DAY IS RESCHEDULED. Due to the predicted thunderstorms and heavy rain on Wednesday, we are rescheduling for Tuesday August 14th (which is the next available day for our youth group discount). However we will be hosting a free games and movies day this Wednesday (9-5pm) at Ascension in place of the Kennywood trip. Please bring a brown bag lunch. Do get in touch for a refund if you can’t make the new Kennywood date. This is the first sad thing.
- Next Weekend is our FINAL ALPHA VIDEO of the summer AND our FINAL CAYG with JACK HARPER! Jack has been the most amazing CAYG leader this past year and we will sorely miss him as he moves to Virginia in mid-August. This is the second sad thing.
- Fall Launch Friday August 24th 6:30-8:30pm. We kick off the new CAYG year together, with parents invited to have a better idea about what goes on here on a Friday and Sunday night, and what opportunities lie ahead! This is a happy thing and NOT to be confused with a distinct and separate event that starts the next day. Parents need RSVP here.
- FLO (Fall Launch Overnight). Meeting at Ascension at 10am on Saturday August 25th, we will return for the 10am Ascension service on Sunday August 26th (which is followed by a FREE whole-church cook-out!). In between we will be at St Joseph’s Baden, enjoying CAYG worship & leadership training, personal retreats and ultimate frisbee competition, wide games and overnight camping. If you haven’t yet done so, you need to RSVP here .
- Regular CAYG recommences in the fall on September 7th and 9th.
- SAVE THE DATE. Ascension’s Parish Retreat is Friday October 5th – Sunday 7th.
